I think a place has exactly as much joy in it as you bring to it. That said, I miss public transportation. I miss the way so many different people from varied walks of life come together for these small bits of time, the way we all studiously avoid eye contact. And I miss the way small children are still entirely themselves, even on the train.

This is Dwight. He says hello. Last night, we each picked up a sandwich here - for me, a grilled (fontina and cheddar) cheese with fresh tomato. Oh man. There's a reason this little store was voted Best Sandwich in Boston recently. I would like to have split that sandwich with you. (It's a pretty big sandwich!)
Today: breakfast, haircut, wandering (in JP?), then time with Katrina in the afternoon and dinner at Bondir tonight. Okay, love - off to shower! Big day.
As I was working on this, the woman next to me on the plane started chatting me up about Photoshop. Then she was talking about the jewelry/wedding business (with which she is apparently involved. Unclear.)
Then she asked me if I was from Boston. No, Michigan. Really? Where in Michigan? Grand Rapids. No kidding? We are, too!
So odd. It turns out she's in Wealthy St. Bakery fairly often and thinks she may have seen me there. Small world.
This seems like the sort of thing that is more likely to happen to you. I think you're rubbing off on me :)
